When you use the contact form, it prepares a message with the name, phone number, email address, postcode and details you type, and you send it to us yourself through WhatsApp or your own email app. We use those details only to reply to you about the job you asked about and, if you go ahead, to arrange and carry out the work. The lawful basis is that you asked us to get in touch (steps before a contract) and, once work is agreed, the contract itself.

If you choose WhatsApp, the message is carried by WhatsApp under its own terms. If you choose email, it is carried by your email provider and ours.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It does not use cookies, does not store anything on your device and does not track you across other websites. It records pages viewed, the referring website, and your browser and device type, without identifying you. You can block it with any content blocker. We do not use advertising cookies.

Enquiry emails are kept for up to two years so we can refer back to them if you ask us to quote again. Details for jobs we carry out are kept for six years for accounting purposes.

Nobody, apart from the services that carry your message to us (WhatsApp or your email provider) and our email provider. We do not sell or pass on your details.

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email oxforddirectbuilders@yahoo.com and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your details you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
