Plastering is the finish most other trades depend on: a flat, sound surface for paint, tiling or wallpaper. The photos on this page are from a bar fit-out, where we prepared a feature wall with waterproof plaster, and from a period room stripped back and a loft prepared for boarding before we plastered it.

What we plaster

We skim over sound existing walls and ceilings, board and plaster new ceilings and stud walls, and re-plaster after damp repairs or where a wall has been removed. We patch plaster after electrical or plumbing work and match it in around new sockets, switches and pipework. External render and repointing are covered on our carpentry and repairs page.

How a plastering job runs

We protect the floors and any furniture left in the room, prepare the surface with beads and scrim where needed, plaster, and leave it to dry before we come back to check it. When the job is done we clear away and leave the room tidy.

What it costs

Cost depends on the area to be plastered and its condition before we start. Patching a small area costs less than skimming a whole room or re-boarding a ceiling. We give a written quote after a site visit.
